How do I tell you about pubs that are not on the website?

Go to the town page that the pub is in, and click "Add pub" at the top right.

How do I tell you about pubs that have changed their name, address or telephone number?

Go to the pub page where the old data is displayed and click 'Change pub details'.

How do I tell you that a pub has closed and is no longer a pub at all?

Go the the pub page where the pub is shown and click 'This pub is no longer a pub'. Please note that if the pub is still a pub but it has changed it's name you should click 'Change pub details'.

I'm a pub owner and I want a link on your website to my own website about my pub, can I do this?

Yes, you can do this. First you have to be a member on this site. You then need to state that you are the owner of a particular pub, this can be done on your pubs own page when you're logged in (there's a link on the left hand side). When you've done this, go to the 'user tools' page and you'll see more information about these extra facilities that you have as a pub owner on this site.

I'm a pub owner and I want to prove this so I can access the pubs control panel. What do I do?

Register as a member of the site, and then claim ownership of the pub via the link on the pubs page. Then go to 'User Tools' and enter your VAT number. You will then have instant access to the pubs control panel. Proof can also be submitted manually - please see the 'User Tools' page for further details.

Why do my comments or ratings about pubs not appear immediately?

These are added every 24hrs when the site is updated.

Can I comment on a certain pub more than once when my opinion changes?

You sure can. You are allowed to add another comment about a pub 30 days after adding the last one.

Can I change my rating of a pub when my opinion changes?

Yes. Go to the pubs page that you wish to re-rate and click on the new rating you wish to give it.

Wow! £10 competition for filling a quick survey form, what's the catch?

No catch. The winner is chosen at random every month and they must be able to accept the money via paypal.

I haven't received my confirmation email, help!

Yes sometimes people don't receive their confirmation emails - especially when they use Hotmail or Yahoo. No problem, just send us an email from the email address you registered with and we'll confirm your membership manually.

Why the delay for you to add photos to the pubs pages and my user profile?

This is because it is not an automated process and we need to check all submissions by hand. Batches of photos are collected and approved in bulk weekly.

Why the delay for you to add and modify pubs data?

Again, this is a manual task and for each pub submission - we have to check that the pub doesn't already exist anywhere on the site, and that the pub really does exist.

Someone has added some dodgy comments about a pub that I take issue with, what can I do?

All comments on this site are written by users of this site. We make every effort to ensure that they are not dodgy, but as the site is so large, it's hard for us to check everything. If you find a comment that you believe is unacceptable, please contact us in the normal way, - remember to tell us which town section the pub is in, the name of the pub, and the comment that you find unacceptable.

What's you privacy policy?

Our privacy policy is quite simple - we will not release your details to any third parties unless required to by law if the authorities are investigating an offence. Your email address will not be displayed on any part of the website, and we will use your email address to send you important information about this site (no more than once a month). Your email address will also be used to send you information about pubs in your 'favourites list' (you can alter your email notifications on the website if you do not wish to receive pub update emails).
