"A modern built pub, basic interior. It has two bars, one has the pool table in it. Not much I can say about this place. The staff are friendly and the Guinness is good. "Modern large pub,but the bar is only on one side. Lots of windows to let the light in, but when they have the big screen down, the blinds come down and it gets very dark. "A large pub right next door to the market. It gets very busy evenings, especially Friday's. It is also quite close to the bus station and opposite Basildon railway station, so there shouldn't be any reason to drink & drive. The lighting is subdued or dark, depending on your point of view. "Nice large pub/restaurant, near to the leisure complex and north of the town centre. It's a bit of a long walk and it seemed even longer as my visit was along pavements covered in ice. "A large pub/hotel, bit awkward to get to, seems to be in the middle of a roundabout. Nice garden area, catches the sun, but you can hear the traffic. Run by the owner of Beefeater, so food always available. Only one real ale on tap. Parking available. Couldn't find the watermill, if it still exists. ..."
