"Oh Dear !
Was 26th. April also a bad day?(ref; pamelacrow)
For an inn so ideally placed on the lovely Battle/Bexhill 1066 Walk the reception & service afforded to myself & 11 other thirsty walkers could hardly have been less welcoming.
Annette Downey(ref; New commuter village-Crowhurst) asserts a good community spirit makes a "good country pub" A "very" good country pub strives to make anyone & everyone feel welcome & to this regard the Plough needs to improve considerably if visitors are to enjoy a 4.5 rating the dogs currently enjoy"

"Have eaten here at lunchtime before, but visited on 10 April and was very disappointed. Tuna baguette was small roll with very little filling, and salad garnish was small piece of lettuce, thin slither of pepper, small wedge of tomato and three tiny slithers of onion, half an inch long. The plate was dumped in front of me, and the roll rolled around on the small plate. No serviette or cutlery given. Were they having a bad day? This is certainly off my list of lunch time visits."
