"This is a very popular Beefeater pub. However, it has seen very much better days. We made the mistake, perhaps, of visiting late on a Sunday lunchtime when the bar area had obviously undergone a lot of custom, and the staff were not diligent enough to tidy away old glasses and finshed plates etc. This was a disappointment for mid Dec 2004, but ..."

"A very friendly pub which serves good pub food at lunch time. Situated on a quiet country lane on the outskirts of the village. A previous comment about smoke in the pub is now redundant because of the air cleaners installed. Good selection of real beers with 2 changing guest beers. Darts, crib and dominoes played on some evenings. ..."
