On 11-2-2011 dawnb said : "We've had many fantastic meals here but had to post a review as our Christmas Day meal was the best ever. The staff were as friendly & welcoming as ever with nothing ever being too much trouble The atmosphere was superb and the food out of this world I have to give a special mention to the strawberry panacotta as it was far & away the best I ever tasted This pub is great as every meal there turns into a special occasion. The menu is fantastic with the specials board always offering something out of the ordinary Well worth going to although I'd advise booking at the weekend as it is normally busy "

On 08-12-2010 cheryl020459 said : "The Dog and Badger Pub in Maulden Bedfordshire My wife and I visited this pub on the evening of 7th December 2010 with a 2 main meals for the price of 1 voucher which had been sent through the post to us with their news letter some time ago. Over the years we have been to the pub on a number of occasions. We passed the voucher to the waitress and she said she would check if it were OK whilst she went and got our drinks. The waitress returned with the drinks and took our order, having eaten the starter, main meal and had coffee we asked for the bill. They had not deducted the one meal and the waitress went away to get this corrected. She returned a few minutes later to say the propriter Linsey would not honour the voucher as she had not signed and dated it. We asked to see her and she refused to honour the voucher saying she had no need to offer promotions in December as she had pleanty of custom. (apart from us there was one other table occupied with about 8 people on it). The menu for the night and a placard outside clearly said in bold letters special offer 2 meals for £12! no need for promotions? We will never go to this pub again we feel that we were ripped off. The waitresses were very pleasant the food average the proprieter well I'll leave that up to you to judge. "
