"I could not disagree with the previous post more. I have just got back from lunch at The Crown with my family. I had my two year old son and 8 month old daughter with us. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The waitress brought my son a drink in a beaker with a straw, the highchair for my daughter was clean, they heated her food for me without complaint and even washed her bowl and spoons for me when she had finished!!
The food we ate was delicious, fresh and hot. It was good value for money and I would recommend this pub to anyone!!
I have visited a few times in the last 12 months and it has always been an excellent lunch!!

"My family and I went for lunch at the Crown Inn yesterday. My son who is 4 yrs old was with us. We were met with a frosty welcome! They do not do children's meals, they were not prepared to be flexible and when our meal finally came it was the wrong food! However as the barmaid was so icy we did not complain.
I have never received such bad service, it was disgraceful.
In difficult times one would have thought our custom would be welcome, this was not the case. "
