"This pub is a real family friendly pub. There is an enclosed play area for the kids, childrens menu and even ice lollies on sale in the summer.
The customer service is second to none especially by the Manager Michael. His friendly and approachable manner make this the pub that I frequent most weekends.
Its is by far the cheapest in the area but being cheap doesnt mean that it lacks quality.
The clientele are a mixed range and all are made to feel relaxed and welcome.
It is close to Newton Hall holiday camp (5 minute walk away) and is served by the the number 2, 2C and the number 15 bus.
I have 2 complaints, first, the tables are not cleared quickly enough so sometimes you have to sit at a table that has dropped food and spilt drinks all over it. And secondly, there is not enough music played on a Saturday Night and what is played is far too quiet.
But overall, its a great pub with a warm, welcoming atmosphere."

"This is a sizzler restaurant pub. The food is excellent value for money. There are often promotions on for food and drinks. The drink prices are the lowest in the area. Janette the landlady is brilliant, she organises charity & party nights. There is always something going on. The pub is clean and regulary checked. There is plenty of seating in the beer garden, which also has a secure childrens play area.
