"Wonderful former coach house near Forster Square station. Always a good selection of real ales and real lagers from the Alpine Brewery. Friendly staff."

As a Southerner, currently living in the land of lager (Germany,) this pub is a breath of fresh air.
Friendly people (Big John, Frank, and Little John) and the best bitter I've tasted for as long as I can remember.
Hope Samuel Smith fend off offers to buy them out, as this pub is not only a brilliant pub today, but also took me back many years to when a pub really was a pub.
Also, no blooming music.

"Not as I remember it. The Saturday night I went in it was quiet, not particularly welcoming but still the same old Shoulder of Mutton. Perhaps I chose a bad night."

"My favourite town center pub in Bradford. Warm open fire in the lounge bar and lots of different places to drink in the pub. Limited choice of beers as it is a Sam Smiths pub!!"
