"My family (including dog!)have visited this pub many times over the last few years. Everyone is catered for young and old, nice food (still serving at 4PM on Sunday afternoon),there were two hand pulled beers on offer (I was driving so did not sample- have been good in the past)
This pub is our favourite on the coast due to location, good home made food (not bought in like some),nice beer and freindly welcome.Keep up the good work Charlie and team, see you between Xmas and New year hopefully."

"My family and I visited this pub over the May Day weekend. It has stunning views and is right on the cliff top. They were having a mini beer festival over the weekend which was great as i am a member of CAMRA and thought the guest ales were great. i gathered from the landlord that he had nearly sold out and the Friends of American old time music and dance were in the area over the weekend. The music was fantastic and a great atmosphere. My children were able to run free in the large beer garden. A pint of guest ale did set me back £2.70 but i notice it is not a free house. its a Mansfield pub. We had some lunch whilst we were there and there was a great varied menu. i had a steak melt and my wife had a mackerel salad which the children had kids meals. all home cooked and very reasonably priced. we had to wait a while for the food but it was worth the wait. not bad for a small pub. one of the barmaids told me that they were short-staffed which, considering it was a bank holiday weeekend, wasnt too bad. would visit again. "Only one real ale on offer when we went. We were going to eat but didn't bother. Local people had said it was an interesting menu but it was fairly standard fayre on offer when we went. Having said that, the beer was OK and the bar was nice and warm with a decent fire. Staff seemed a bit young and inexperienced though."

"It doesnt cope too well in winter though. I went there with my family and only the Banks bitter was on of three cask ales - one had run out and the other "will come on in a few days for the weekend". The food, although good, came from a Menu that bore little relation to the one on their website - although they did, when pressed, offer to do a steak even though it was no longer on the menu.
Very disappointing. The website is misleading, promising a much wider range of food than is on offer."
