"I visited this pub in the summer whilst on holiday with my son. The reason we decided to go there was because it had a large garden. I don't think I have ever written a negative review before but here we go. My opinion was that it was an unfreindly, expensive with rude staff. We are both extremely disappointed. I ordered some food and was told in no uncertain terms that they do not accept Debit Cards. I cancelled the order as I did not have enough cash. I asked if there was a bank nearby and was told 'use that machine it does charge'. Needless to say we left after we had finished our drinks. My son wanted to feed the goats so I gave him 20p and guess what you only get ONE pellet for 20p. Certainly not on our 'must make a return visit' list :-("

"Came to Charmouth at the beginning of July, unfortunately the weather was awful with heavy rain and gales. We arrived in the pub early afternoon to escape the weather and were really pleased with the reception we were given. We enjoyed a lovely bar meal in the huge gazebo, and several games of pool and darts. When the rain stopped we ventured outside onto a massive lawn with small park area for younger children and discovered three goats living at the end of the garden. They were very entertaining and we had fun feeding them!! My 10-year-old has ADHD but was kept occupied and entertained the whole time we were there. (We stayed until tea-time!)Would recommend a visit if your in the area."
