Sadly it seems no one has any interest in managing it any more. No one ever seems in charge there, service is consiistantly awful.

"Surprising more a locals pub despite its proximaty to the towns train station.
Normaly one or two decent real ales on and a clean bright pub.
Be aware though it doesn't stay open past eleven on weekends so those hoping for a quick drink when they come in on the last train are out of luck. ..."

"Recently renovated both inside and out the Red Lion has been much immproved. Normally a very good selection of real ales at the bar and a much impoved 'garden' area at the back of the pub.
