"Very welcoming and just the right atmosphere. Service staff good but not over attentive. Drinks good value. Food good but not Cordon Bleu, portions good. Cooks menu, Chef's prices. A welcoming owner. Under new ownership four months ago will return to have another meal in six months to see if improvements are maintained. ..."

"not a pleasant visit, proprieters didn't seem interested in 'serving' at all. all the tables in the dining room had reserved signs on them ? why. we asked about booking a table and were told we could as long as we were finished for 8.30p.m that would have been fine but we were not made to feel welcome at all. the golden cup is in a lovely settin ..."
