On 21-9-2008 millay said : "With so many of Bushey Heath’s pubs closing in recent years it’s pleasing that this one remains, and deservedly so. It’s a bit off the beaten track, which can sometimes be an advantage, but it’s worth making the effort to pay a visit. You’ll find a genuine community pub with some character and a sense of history. It’s nicely decorated with old prints of the local area and there’s a bookcase with a little reading matter including back copies of the Good Beer Guide. Three pumps were on when I visited and I had a couple of decent pints of Black Sheep, London Pride and Abbot were the others I believe. Beer garden with tables at the back which is partly covered. "
