Usual wetherspoons fair with good cheap food & drink & very good accomodation for the money,
It has to be said that this pub must be cheaper than meals on wheels for lunches judging by the amount of over 60's eating in here, As ..."

"Always nice for a quiet drink during the week and a fabulous atmosphere once it reaches the weekend. The new second bar is great, manned by a cocktail guy who will pretty much make you anything! It's perfect if you don't want to queue at the main bar. Will be even more wicked when it hits summer ;-) ..."

We decided to have a change from the usual beer & ordered a Jug of Cheeky V, the jug was made up behind the bar & wasn't even stirred... "Visited this pub quite often as i lived in the town for a few years. Visited recently and the place is still the same. Very welcoming and friendly crowd. Very good beer. The industry is a small and personal pub, set in a close and local community. Bit like the 'corra' Rovers Return (not however, as dramatic!!!). Appealed to me, may not to others! G ..."

"We liked this pub, was one of the few pubs in Chesterfield that was busy mid week & we could only put this down to the good quality home cooked food, Good choice of drinks, friendly staff, & locals.
If anything it was a little more pricey than other pubs but hey! its opposite a wetherspoons & still gets people in so im not the only one who thinks ..."

Called for a mid week afternoon pint & the place wasn't very busy,
This is not the pubs fault but it beats me how some of these places survive? But it has to be said that when a pint of Becks hits the £3 mark then your clients go from being exclusive to elusive.
