We decided to have a change from the usual beer & ordered a Jug of Cheeky V, the jug was made up behind the bar & wasn't even stirred... "We liked this pub, was one of the few pubs in Chesterfield that was busy mid week & we could only put this down to the good quality home cooked food, Good choice of drinks, friendly staff, & locals.

Called for a mid week afternoon pint & the place wasn't very busy,
This is not the pubs fault but it beats me how some of these places survive? But it has to be said that when a pint of Becks hits the £3 mark then your clients go from being exclusive to elusive.

"2 minutes from the market and they still have a selection of main meals for £2.99 here. Despite calling in on a very busy Saturday market day lunchtime the service, food and ambience (I hate that word) were great. Food for 4, drinks for two, plus tea for two for less than £19. ..."
