"This little gem is to be found just off the A27 very close to the old Tangmere airfield and named after the (late) great 2WW flying ace, a genuine ordinary pub in a sea of bars, bistros, gastropubs etc. and it can cater for most needs without fuss. Food is straightforward, no nonsense pub-grub that's been cooked properly, the ales are kept superb ..."
