On 24-8-2005 timdwyer said : "The food is exceelent and the beer very good. Bill (the landlord) is one of the rare (soon to be gone?) landlords who can properly manage a pub and be friendly without being intrusive. Highly recommended for eating (about 30 pounds all in per head for very high quality 3 course including wine). Great local food."
