On 04-9-2008 welland said : "We enjoyed Saturday night in this pub. The food was excellent and there was good music, not too intrusive but well worth a listen. Best of all, the staff and locals engaged us in conversation and our dog was welcome. A must on a visit to Clun!"

On 15-5-2008 susanmayflower said : "I went to Clun for May Day weekend and the Green Man Festival. Great amusement all round and the Sun was just right with a pair of first-class musicians and decent beers. It was a fun atmosphere, made me want to move to Clun!"

On 01-5-2008 oxfordgreen said : "An excellent traditional country pub, with perhaps the cosiest snug bar in England. The pub dates back centuries and is full of history, the seventeenth century wallpaper is worthy of a National Trust house. Good beers, I enjoyed the Jennings Cock-a-Hoop and good country dining. Its quieter than The White Horse down the road, the absence of a jukebox a real plus!"
