"Great food, very nice steaks, sauce, veg and side salads. Good selection of cask ales, Theakston Bitter, TT Landlord, Directors, Flowers and Cask Boddies although the quality was not the best. The Theakston, Landlord & Directors that I tried were all a little cloudy. Need to improve the cellermanship (pipe clean?). But all in all a great pub location and value for money food."

"Called in mid week - what a surprise! Lovely pub with about 8 cask ales on. Food made on the premises. All the staff young & very laid back. The bar appeared to be part of a narrowboat or "fly" as they are called round here. Idyllic setting on a flight of locks on the Shropshire Union Canal. Wonderful pub well worth a visit."
