Begin Mile at Travellers Rest (near Markeaton Park on Ashbourne Road), work your way into town: Waggon and Horses, Swan and Salmon, Gallant Hussar etc. After doing the Gallant cross the road and turn right into Surry Street. Follow to the end and turn right into Peel Street. New Zealand is along here. About five minutes walk from the Gallant. Then continue Mile along Ashbourne Road: Grundys Tavern, Brick and Tile. Avoid the Thirsty Scholar during term time as it's a student pub."

A jukebox would also be a nice touch az some of the bar staff's music choice is questionable. The lager is a bit expensive (£1:69) i still remember when it woz alot more reasonable (£1:68). There is also a chalk board system behind the bar for when you have drinks 'in' a good system for busy World Cup games. I advise anyone to go to this pub. "

The bar area should become independant from the "Posh End", some kind of wall or partition would be good. The Newz is also home to one of the greatest 5 a side teams ever to grace JJB."
