"The locals call this place 'Crompton Village'. Walk up Green Lane past the Mecca bingo hall, turn right into Crompton Street. About 200 yards up street pub is on the right.
Mostly regulars in here who spend their time gossiping and bitching about each other. Just had it's first new coat of interior paint for at least twenty years.
Mainly attracts the 'alternative' crowd. If you're a dreadlocked post-punk socially aware community poet this is probably the right place for you.
Landlord is so laid back he's horizontal. Genuine Spanish Cruzcampo lager on draught and Estrelle Damm lager in bottles in the fridge. Reasonable range of bitters/ real ales."
