I have stopped going in but a reputable source says it's a nightmare on Friday nights with groups in who have been boozing all day swearing their heads off and generally making a nuisance of themselves. "TAPPS is a decent pub in the centre of the town. Great Games room that always seems buzzing. Really freindly staff, who always strike up a conversation. Nice traditional feel to the place, TAPPS has not seen the need to accomodate or bend to the trend of the more populer pubs just down the road..which is great. ..."

"This pub used to be called The Black Tulip back in the day when I started going out at the very end of the eighties. It was a Heavy Metal pub then.
It closed and then mutated into the Oak and Acorn, the owners put a huge extension on the back and started doing food. Eventually this shut down due to overwhelming public indifference and I think it' ..."

The bull tried having bands on, but realised getting a band to play, didn't always mean attracting punters.. in perticuler, awful under rehursed school bands. "Ok, This place has come on leaps and bounds since my last report. The new management are putting a huge amount of effort into making this a nice pub to visit. Yes, It's main focus is the 'alternative' crowd, but at least they can have a decent pint now. Sunday's are in perticular a good day to visit this pub, with live bands playing most evenings.
