A nice touch leaving the pulpit in at one end & installing a bar down the full length of one wall - it appeals to my methodist upbringing. Courage best bitter & Abbot were the pick of the beers when we were in. ..."

The beer garden has come into it's own with the smoking ban and unlike some pubs we could mention they have made a tasteful addition with their pergola thingy. The Exeter List magazine rated them top for live music and friendliness or something. Nice cheap wine on offer last time we went ..."
