"Just an update 15 months on... still as excellent as ever. Great range of mainly Scottish real ales, posters for gigs everywhere, nice big tables which force people to sit together, unobtrusively efficient staff and of course their own great music programme which tends towards the rockabilly / folky rocky sort of end of the scale. A gem of a pub, very convenient for all the stations and shops etc."

"How has this pub not been reviewed yet? Wandering around Glasgow last night, trying to find somewhere with decent ale and no canned music drilling into my ears (as it was in the otherwise excellent Pot Still), I came across this place by accident. Four? Five real ales and a proper cider, buzzing with conversation, crowded, and friendly. I squeezed myself into a corner and read the Herald for 20 minutes until the girl sitting next to me said "So what's happening in the world then?" And then after a few minutes me, her and her friend, and the two blokes on the other side of the table were shaking hands, swapping boyfriend/girlfriend tales, job stuff, her planning to go back to uni, and and generally having a very easygoing and brilliant time. As I had told them I am a student they woulnd't let me buy a drink so weaved a somewhat wobbly way back to Central Station. One of my best nights for yonks. Great pub, great atmosphere, great drinks, great people."
