Waited ages on serving even when the bar was almost clear. Food terrible. I had haddock and 11 chips. Mother in law had batter but very little fish but `didnt want to cause trouble`. Nephew ordered mushy peas but got garden peas, butter brick hard and unspreadable. 2 people got their starter at same time as their main course. Lager was atrocious watered down and flat. Barman `pouring` pint by sitting glass flat under tap while using other hand at the till. Niece wanted to take her cake home but they threw away thew box. Very large blackboard type structure collapsed on the floor with no one near it. I wonder what health & safety would make of that.
An atrocious filthy dump which I will never enter again.

"First thing you notice upon entering is the STENCH. Don't know if it's drains or the stale smell of food?? Up to the bar and I waited, waited, waited to be served. This was a Saturday evening. Eventually got a drink. A foaming Stella. Quite a good pint. Reasonable prices too, considering the pubs location. A typical Wetherspoon shop with a varied mixture of drinking types enjoying their evening. "

"Nice atmosphere, seems like it would be quite expensive but it is actually really affordable."

"A well located and busy Wetherspoons which as others have said is one of the many bank conversions around the country. Huge place with high ceilings that make it feel even bigger. "

"A very typical example of a JD Wetherspoon establishment, in this particular case, a converted bank. But what this lacks in atmosphere and character, it makes up for with some of the cheapest food and drink in the city centre. Extremely handy if you're waiting for a train at Queen St. Station."

"This pub can be very busy at times and because of it's size it can be incredibly difficult finding someone you've arranged to meet, unless that is of course they were hiding from me.It has a good choice of real ales and Wetherspoon's cheap beer prices but it's a bit characterless and lacks the intimacy of smaller pubs. "Another wonderful conversion project from JDW - an old bank as you'd guess from the name (check out the old safes still insitu). Cavernous hall (a bit like drinking in a railway station to be honest). Cheap prices and good toilets."

"It's a Barn of a pub lacking in atmosphere. On the plus side it's got reasonably priced food and the building itself is nice. Sometimes has Guest beers."

"As mentioned by other, a JD wetherspoon establishment - of which I am not a great fan. However, this is actually one of the better ones, its a massive bar and there is plenty of room to move around. Toilets are pretty far off though !"

"a typical chain pub but a great one good beer/food prices could do with a bit more atmosphere"

"A Wetherspoons pub. Soulless, devoid of character. The decor is fabulous if you like old banks."
