On 10-12-2007 ianmac said : "Reasonably priced, friendly service and nice Sunday lunch. Two of us had a three course Sunday meal and a couple of drinks each for under £20. The Smiddy also has a nice atmosphere, I was on my own at first waiting for a friend but I was made very welcome and was greeted with a smile by bar staff. We spent a couple of hours in the bar and enjoyed a game of pool in a very relaxed friendly atmosphere. Looking forward to going again soon. Ian (35)"
         

On 24-11-2005 brain77 said : "I have to disagree with the previous comment. What is that guy on about. It is a great pub and offers a bar (where the pool tables are), separate from the lounge (where food is served). The staff are excellent, I have been a regular for many years."
