What a wonderful location!! This pub has a beautiful sunny water front plenty of parking. You can feed the ducks and take a boat out onto the broad.
I used to visit this pub with my parents as a little boy. I remembered live music and lots of families. No more.I was sad to see that the inside had lost its character and had been refurbished with no thought. It just looked like the owners chose from a catologue of two or three designs which seem to be so common now. A big screen TV dominates the bar which must be there to entertain the staff, this must be the reason for the poor hygiene. Dirty tables and chairs, toilets ect., and unfortuantly I would say the staff needed some motivation and enthusiasm. On entering the pub we were greeted by the cook have a cigarette, it was not a good start. Im also sad to say the food was pretty poor quality too.
Come on guys, these are small problems that you can sort. You must realise what potential you are sitting on. There are worse places you could work!! Please turn it around!!"

"I visited this pub one week ago. Lovely sunny day by the river. However, inside, the pub was smelling like sewers, the barman had filthy finger nails. Give the benefit i thought. Ordered some food. Last time i do that, highly over priced, paid £4.95 for a prawn baguette, the salad was brown and literally they had broken a piece of baguette off put some prawns in and dumped on the plate. Very very disappointing which was explained to the waitress who collected my plate."
