"We were travelling from Grimsby and passed this pub and turned round to try it for lunch. It seemed busy for a weekday but there were tables available and we both decided to try the carvery. There was a queue and wait of about 6-10 minutes to get served but the choice was very good. 3 types of meat and plenty of veg, new potatoes and roast potatoes that looked like they were renewed quite regularly. The best thing was the price, £11.30 for 2 carvery's and 2 drinks (1 being a large wine!)I have never known a place to be so cheap yet the food quality was good, no wonder it was busy, the locals must use it often!"

"We visited the J&B on the eve of 16th December with friends and had a great evening. Wine & meals excellent and very reasonable. Well recommended, particularly the carvery."
