On 17-7-2007 biltong said : "Located beside the River Wey Navigation, superb history to the river and its trading links with London and an awful history to this pub as it's on the edge of the Bellfields Estate !! Tourists, for me, it's a contradiction of history and social structure to have these two places of 'trade and pleasure' in a juxtaposition !!"
