On 08-7-2010 rawco10 said : "Happened upon this pub last night...what a find !! open fire, great welcome, pie and peas night !great p+p great value! we will be back, deserves support, well worth a visit cheers!!!"

On 01-1-2010 mikejoul said : "Went to this pub years ago as a young lad. Was walking aound ogden reservour and asked the warden who directed me. Difficult to find, but worth it! fantastic setting in its own valley, steep road to it which might be a laugh if icey!. The pub serves a very warm welcome to all, good basic food, you wont be hungry for some time afterwards, and fine ales. In summer its a fantastic place to be, sat outside, and in winter theres a great logg fire to keep you warm. Just ring first as the food is only available certain nights. This is real hannsel and grettal stuff, you will know what i mean when you step through those doors!, you wont want to go home!, every pub should be like this!"
