On 13-10-2004 ghoti said : "This a truly excellent blend of local and dining pub. The bar accommodates and welcomes those who just want a drink as well as those wanting a bar meal, while the restaurant caters for the more formal occasion. Food is the best in the area. Friendly and efficient staff ensure a pleasant visit."

On 14-2-2004 hally40 said : "A busy little pub with an Irish slant. Guess why it's called THE FROG? It gets very busy on a Sunday, and is quite small - book if you want to eat. Can't vouch for the food as we didn't try it. But the plates of others looked heaped, healthy, and welcoming."
