After a very tasty meal we were welcomed by the locals and proceeded to spend the evening sat around the bar joining the friendly banter and happy atmosphere. The perfect venue for classic pub meals and a relaxed evening we will definately be making a return visit - it is well worth the journey!!!"

On 29-6-2009 shields said : "I ate here with my family yesterday. Two of us had a roast and found the meat dry and the roast potatoes a bit on the burnt side. A member of my family had a bowl of nachos which were not very nicely presented and swimming in a bowl of oil. I politely asked a member of staff if I could have a refund as they were inedible but he argued with me infront of a bar full of people saying there was nothing wrong with them and would not give me a refund. You do not get service with a smile here and i will not be eating here again!"

I would just like to say that yes the dog treats were thrown away because they were very smelly and we didn't really know what else to do with them! We thought long and hard before doing this but based on our knowledge of dog treats available, we came to the conclusion that they would be able to be replaced fairly easily and cheaply. Please rest assured that if anything of any value was left in the pub it would be kept until it was claimed hence why we have about 20 pairs of glasses currently residing behind the till!! "

But I went for lunch on Thursday and left behind a bag of dog treats when I rang Sat am I was told they had been thrown away as no one had been and collected them in the past week???!!! Not very helpful either so beware not to leave belongings behind they will be gone!"
