On 16-2-2004 hally40 said : "This pub has been a favourite for years. A lovely location on the north bank of the River Ouse. Recently taken over by Olde English Inns - Greene King - it lives up to their high standards........ but it was recently fined for having dirty kitchens. A bit of a pity really, which added to the increase of the costs of the wide variety of the food on offer makes ne think twice about eating there. There's absolutely nothing wrong with their drinks or the comfortable environment though. Plenty of space in the garden/river bank on a good day."
