On 06-9-2004 cabbage said : "We had an enthraling time at the grouse inn, the views were absolutely magnificent and the chef provided the food to match. Wholesome food with a local slant towards game and fresh fish, this was a meal to be savoured. Popular with both the young and old the grouse has become somewhat of a meeting place for good food and real ale enthusiasts alike, a selection of three Timothy Taylors beers were on offer and we tried the lot! Creamy, crisp and golden the ale was a sight and taste to behold, we waited for half an hour for a table but it was well worth the wait as the views kept us busy. The smell of the fresh baked bread was lingering outside on the patio kept our mouths watering before our meal. We left the grouse with fond memories of a pub that was really buzzing with happy customers enjoying fine fayre from the hosts, we will definitely return in the near future when in the area."
