"Beautiful listed building with all the archaic characteristics kept intact (i.e curved walls for horse drawn coaches). The rooms are warm and very spacious, ideal for families and larger groups. A short walk from the main town centre and an ideal location for a stay during the yearly boat race."

"A prper pub doing bed & b, husband and i stayed overnight will visiting friends. Clean bed room and small shower room, really hot water, breakfast excellent dining room could have been tidier but as I sid it is a pub not an hotel. Selection of drinks seemd a litle short for ladies but the men were happy. Hubby apreciated the car park even though I was driving don't be put off by having to drive up the gap between the buildings if I can do it any one can.
Smoking area at back Hubby smoked on the fire escape. Central for the shops and castle will stay again on our next visit. Probably best for 1 or 2 nights stay."
