On 05-10-2007 edenflower said : "as a frequent visitor to the farmhouse tavern and having booked several functions here, (also a guest at the above function) i have found it to be nothing more than pleasant, comfortable, good food, very friendly staff who go out of there way to help, especially now the pub is now under new management being a father and daughter who also go out of there way to sit and chat to customers being locals or visitors. i have found they have came and asked peoples opinions on the pub itself and what can be improved.
they also make sure the bar is fully manned and even now put entertainment on a friday which is very good.
p.s i think you should try this pub yourself and if im wrong or right, you can write a review. i dont think its fair to take notice to one review when the pub has so much to offer. "
On 29-9-2007 us said : "ONE WORD HORRIBLE, HAD WENT TO THE PUB TO VIEW THE FUNCTION ROOM FOR SPECIAL DAY AND HAVE A ROOM FOR THE NIGHT, GOT PROMISED THE WORLD,VERY HAPPY WITH THIS AND MENU SO WE PAID FOR EVERYTHING THERE AND THEN UP FRONT WITH NOTHING LEFT TO PAY. ON THE DAY FOOD WAS NOT WHAT WE ORDERED, THEY HAD ANOTHER EVENT ON AND TWO STAFF WORKING,FOR BOTH EVENTS AND BAR,(SAT NIGHT) MY GUESTS HAD TO CLEAR THE TABLES THEMSELFS AND MOVE THE TABLES, AFTER ASKING BAR STAFF TO HELP THEY WERE GREETED WITH A TUT AND A ROLL OF THE EYES AND NO HELP.THEY DID NOT EVEN PROVIDE A TABLE FOR THE CAKE AND DESERTS (WHICH WE HAD BROUGHT OURSELVES) EVEN THOUGH THIS HAD BEEN ADVISED THAT VERY MORNING AND WHEN ASKED TO PROVIDE ONE YOU WOULD THINK WE HAD AKSED THEM TO MAKE IT!! SERVICE WAS POOR ALL NIGHT. WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CHILD FRIENDLY, IF THEY CALL DOG DIRT AND BROKEN GLASS AND A SWAMP IN THE GARDENS FRIENDLY I WOULD NOT LIKE TO SEE WHAT UNFRIENDLY WOULD HAVE BEEN, WE ALSO WERE PROMISED A BEATIFUL ROOM FOR THE NIGHT 'WE WILL MAKE IT REALLY SPEICAL FOR YOU' MY FAMILY WERE ALSO STAYING AND THEIR ROOM WAS BETTER THAN OURS!!! WE WROTE TO THIS PUB AFTER BUT NO ONE EVER GOT BACK TO US, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND "
