"An update. New landlord has sustained excellent food and has a really good Betty Stogs. Clean, outside area with large umbrellas, staff still really friendly. Really quirky little chef who will readily exchange banter. Look out for the genuine locals who inhabit the corner at the front of the bar. Sometimes they can be encouraged to sing. ..."

"Still the funniest pub in town. Full of locals who know their beer. New owners have kept the traditional values of the previous tenant. Cheap lunchtime food and early Sunday breakfasts. No evening food. Tribute ale kept stunningly well. It certainly is not posh and the darts teams are entertainment in itself. ..."
