"Real Ales: 4 dedicated pumps - Blacksheep, Taylor's Landlord, a Copper Dragon & one from Ilkley Brewery; 4 guests, often including a stout/porter. Belgian beers, pricey German lagers.
Plus points (imo): no music (live, piped or jukebox); good atmos; table service - ask the glass collector; friendly staff; abscence of chavs & other riff-raff.
Minus points (imo): wierd queueing system at bar; staff can sometimes be v slow serving; can get rather hot & stuffy; noisy upstairs due to echoing acoustics; rush at bar after RL matches finish; last orders 10:50.
Overall: I like it a lot !"

"Called in early evening & the Black Sheep was in fine form. Also had chilli beef, rice & garlic bread for £5. Arcadia seems to have debveloped a decent "after work" trade."

"Arcadia is to be found at the end of a parade of shops in the Arndale centre in Headingley. It is worth a visit because it has the best range of cask conditioned ale in Headingley. Inside it is quite cramped with a bit upstairs. They've had no smoking for years & no kids either. When it gets busy you are politely asked to move away from the bar.
Handy for the cricket & rugby stadium which is 5 minutes walk."
