On 28-12-2010 wildwillie said : "Revisited the Adelphi at lunchtime when it was possible to admire the internal decor. Lots of wood panelling and etched glass which has probably been there for a hundred years. Lunchtime food - soup/ sandwiches was all very nice. Taylors Landlord and Leeds brewery Best & Pale were available as well as 2 other ales. Yes the beer was expensive. No it was not well kept. No I would not go in more than once in a blue moon but the Adelphi could be a great pub, if only...."

On 26-10-2009 pintplease said : "3 pound for a pint of Tim Taylors Landlord. Now I accept that Landlord is a good beer but at this price I reckon they are taking the p###. It would be interesting to know just who in their right mind would pay these prices. "

On 20-7-2008 thedoctoriswell said : "To say this is the 'brewery tap' and Tetleys brewery is a few yards away it makes me wonder how they can ruin the beer. It is vile. Guess where Tetley's staff go for a pint? The Red Lion over the road, a Sam's pub and a hell of a lot cheaper than here!"

On 16-12-2007 wildwillie said : "Visited on a Friday, early evening - can only reiterate Flask's comments. Very disappointing. Noisy & busy - did not stay to sample the beer."

On 27-11-2007 flask said : "Was a classic city centre pub, also allegedly the closest to the Tetley's brewery. Still retains most of the original fittings but has undergone a facelift; still good beer but now unfortunately boasts city centre prices. Packed out on a Friday, and sometimes attracts a braying wannabe 'apartments and lofts' crowd. Food good and beer selection good (if expensive). Has a ciggy yard with sofas and heaters. Come in the afternoon and play boardgames. Perhaps this place might have got worse by improving?"

On 04-9-2007 wildwillie said : "Situated south of the river close to Leeds Bridge the Adelphi has retained it's character. Serves cask conditioned ales."
