"Two roomed pub which is quite compact & would be a cosy local if it had not set out it's stall as a music venue. The front bar has a tiny stage at one side & can pack in about sixty punters. Metal night when we called in. No draught ale although they had been serving Black Sheep at some time. Most people go for the Guinness. Interesting mix of clientele - locals, students & metal addicts."

"With the closure of the Globe & the demolition of the Meanwood I reckon this is the only watering hole between Sheepscar & Meanwood. With new student accomodation built next door & an up and coming reputation for live music should be safe enough."
