"People on the Guardian's talk site regularly meet here - need one say more ? More of a genuine cafe-bar than a pub, but 2 guest ales on (done well) and a pleasant atmosphere. The kind of place in which metrosexual, organic foodie, hybrid driving thirty-somethings can be seen indoctrinating themselves with the review sections of the 'better class' of sunday newspaper, whilst sipping cappucino or pretending they're not really pissheads by drinking a 'large' measure of wine in a glass so enormous it looks like they quite positively are the very modern models of a very modern frugality !"

"The Reliance Bar is to be found on North Street next door to Hansa's curry house. It has 2 rooms, one of which has soft furnishing & is like your front room. It is far enough out of the centre of town to avoid the "crawlers" & has a nice atmosphere. Two real ales on when we were there, one named after the bar itself."
