On 09-2-2011 mattjones77 said : "I visited The Old Black Horse a couple of Thursdays ago as my wife and I fancied a drive out to find a pub and have a meal.Well what a pleasant suprise it just so happened that Thursdays is pie and a pint night the pub was really buzzing they managed to fit us in.We both had the pie menu which was great value at £8.95 including a drink.It was really great to find a pub serving home cooked food at a good price and such good quality. Also the real ale was fantastic and so was the lady serving us. All in all very impressed we will definetly be back. M Jones"

On 15-6-2009 cloverfiled said : "I went here a couple of weeks ago on a Friday evening, there was poor quality food which had to be sent back due to undercooking, very minimal choice of vegetarian dishes for my wife and as we entered the pub we had to walk through eveyone smoking which was not pleasant. The whole meal for two people came to a rather extortionate price of £56. I really did not find However there were some positives, there was plenty of parking and the waitress and barman were an absolute delight! "

On 17-5-2005 brights said : "I think kingfisher works for Everards by his comments either that or free ale was being handed out!!!. A maximum of 4 mainly down to bad keeping of Everards beer and poor food."

On 16-5-2005 kingfisher said : "The best pub in this village with a good selection of real ales, Everards ales with a couple of guest beers on hand pump with food available..."
