"Sadly, Grant has now sold this pub, but luckily to two locals, who wish to keep the pub as it was. This means that the beer range, both real ale and continental beers, remains. The pub is now open all day, every day and the Italian thin crust pizzas have had other meals added.
The manager is Gareth Hunt, formerly of the Pump and Tap (not demolished), so he is not new to the trade. A highly-recommended pub to anyone seeking a haven from the rush of the inner city. Cheap food too. "

"I remember going in here just once during the late 1970s when it was awful, and its location near the Infirmary was very handy! Completely transformed now into one of Leicester's small number of excellent real ale pubs. Comfortable and traditional multi-area interior and good range of well-kept beers. "
