| On 01-3-2006 alstewartle said : "Great venue for an easy going atmosphere and a few laughs. Particular highlight the Donkey Quiz every monday night from 8.30(ish)with the very deadpan Ian overseeing the festivities!"

On 20-1-2006 sime said : "It would appear a travesty that Woz 'n Lisa haven't had the recognition they deserve for the tireless work done for the local community, in the ceaseless toil that is running that fine establishment 'The Donkey'. They appear to have been completely overlooked in the new years honours list, consolation, hopefully has been found in the endorsement of at least one eminent authirity. GOD SAYS "DRINK IN THE DONKEY"!"

Food is second to none and the live music a must. Nothing competes with the summer gigs in the garden. Oh...and of course.....the beer is definitely drinkable.
Always always worth a few more minutes walk from the Queens Road set. Give it a go."
