On 04-8-2008 cowsey said : "Good pub that feels like the sort of place with a strong local clientel. Excellent sandwiches (nice and plain, but using really good quality and tasty bread and home-cooked ham, and without a load of unneccesary additions 'on the side'). Good choice of beer. Friendly, comfortable, and easy for children to be in. Will definitely return."

On 21-3-2007 impressive19 said : "A nice friendly village pub. Cricket Club, tennis club and local residents all use this pub. Food is fairly plain but large portions and all home cooked. Friendly staff and a convivial atmosphere. "
