"Friendly and efficient staff, but no atmosphere to speak of, and the sandwiches were disappointing. Children allowed in, but wouldn't say child-friendly. Although the day outside was bright and sunny, it felt dark (orange light bulbs - horrid) and a bit dingy inside. Could do with a breath of fresh air and definitely lose the snarling stuffed fox - ..."

"Good pub that feels like the sort of place with a strong local clientel. Excellent sandwiches (nice and plain, but using really good quality and tasty bread and home-cooked ham, and without a load of unneccesary additions 'on the side'). Good choice of beer. Friendly, comfortable, and easy for children to be in. Will definitely return. ..."
