On 21-2-2011 chesterboy said : "We recently spent a very pleasant weekend there. Our hosts were extremely pleasant and welcoming. The pub has a traditional feel about it with open logs fires but we noticed various events were happening during the week. For example quiz night, poker night and live music. Our accommodation was comfortable, clean and quiet. Luckily for us we were able to take our dog. We also ate there and the food was delicious with large portions and a varied menu. We would be happy to return there."

On 12-3-2007 boycie said : "A traditional village pub with slightly olde worlde interior. Has bar, restaurant and lounge area but a limited range of beers. Food we found to be excellent and we were served by smiling and polite staff. They run events throughout the year including a beer festival with marquee on the village green."
