On 19-5-2009 rosler1910 said : "We went back to this pub as we heard that Gary and Yvonne had taken over who we knew from the Globe at Nantwich. Each time we go for a meal at the Thatch we are more than happy, however, after last Sunday's visit (17th May 09) I felt I just had to leave a comment here. The food was totally and utterley exceptional. I told Gary it was the best Sunday dinner I had ever had. Ian and I both ordered Lamb henry's, with a "Sunday roast twist" I had so much Lamb on my plate I didn't know what to do with it(couldn't leave any though!)and not an ounce of fat. The veg etc etc were all mouth watering. We also ordered Bailey's cheesecake and lemon meringue. Outstanding. The atmosphere, staff, cleanliness and friendliness were, as always, fantastic. Gary and Yvonne have a tendancy to make their customers feel very welcome and cared for. The Globe was never the same when they left and I fear the same for The Thatch in the future too. But while they are at The Thatch, it will be our number 1 choice for an evening meal. Helen and Ian. Nantwich."
       

On 21-12-2008 wallaby said : "I endorse the remarks of joehoyles. This a family run pub in the true sense of the word. They have only been here since May 2008 and have made vast improvements. There is a comprehensive menu of excellent food which is served promptly and in an efficient manner. The beer is well kept and there is a range of wines from which to choose. The landlord and his wife and daughter are very friendly and welcoming. Overall, this has everything that I look for in a pub. Good food, good beer, and a warm and convivial atmosphere. "
