"Times have a changed for this recently refurbished and newly managed country pub. The new family team have done an excellent refurbishment job and have transformed the pub into a very comfortable, stylish pub that is in keeping with the character and age of the pub.
The menu is very tempting in all areas and its great to see they are using many locally sourced ingredients. The service was spot on and the food tasted just like quality home cooking. There wasn't the ping of a microwave anywhere on my plate!
Overall a great village pub with a relaxed atmosphere in great surroundings and fantastic food to match. Well worth a visit."

"THis pleasant pub was very busy, but not quite packed, on the Sunday lunchtime we visited. Service was prompt, efficient, and courteous for both drink and food. Prices are about standard for both - for this part of the world. There is smoking/non-smoking segregation, but this doesn't work too well when smoking is allowed at the centrally placed bar. No dogs allowed, which is fair given the prominence given to the eating areas."
