On 16-3-2011 geraldpenney said : "We stopped for lunch yesterday (15/3/11) and despite it being quiet we had good service and the food was excellent. Location is lovely as well."

On 08-6-2009 reg_prescott said : "Steve and Justin took over towards the end of 2007 and after a problematic start, seem to have got things running reasonably well. There is a wide range of real ales and local cider. The service (both food and drink), considering how busy they were, was nothing short of amazing. This is a very old pub (1329)in a beautiful village. I really recommend a visit. "
