On 08-11-2012 johnrichardson said : "this pub has been refurbished and is clean fresh and been bought up to date while keeping the warm features of a village pub. the locals are friendly and welcoming it serves excellent food at reasonable prices give it a try you will not be disappointed"

On 26-12-2010 proc05 said : "Very welcoming friendly little pub. The food is very nice at a good price. Looks like its recently been refurbished. 9/10 "

On 13-6-2005 hally40 said : "This is quite a pokey little one room pub in the village of Sarn on the main A489 to the east of Newtown. Although prices of food and drink are quite cheap it's grubby appearance gave the impression you might not know what you're letting yourself in for. If you're not too fussy about hygiene then give it a go by all means."
